I found my inspiration in The Slow Nature of Making. It takes nature several years to shape trees, lakes, hills etc. And for each object follows a very detailed structure and texture.
The textile shows nature’s changing movements and structure where texture becomes a combination of repetitions and variations. The rich texture triggers the sense of curiosity making the surrounding space more personal, intimate, and sensual. Then it makes the viewer embrace the textile within the surrounding space and feeling more relaxed.
I choose to study textile design because of its delicate handcraft with the possibility of combining tradition and innovation. By specializing in weaving, I now have endless combinations in my use of materials.
