Over the last 4 years, I have been working at a home for mentally ill people. This gave me the inspiration to design a chair that counteracts anxiety. I have designed a new interpretation of an existing chair there are used to limit anxiety. I have been inspired by the contrast between softness and hardness and the interaction between functionality and aesthetics.
In the design I have incorporated tactility to give the chair a more exciting expression and to provide the consumer with a functional and aesthetic chair as well as to give a sensual experience.
Furniture design is one of the most exciting fields to work in because it allows me to be creative and use my hands. I believe that furniture and interior have a great aesthetic impact on us as individuals and that aesthetics has a big influence in how we thrive - both with ourselves and others - and I love to be a part of that process.
