Repair is care

Do you throw out a whole relationship if it gets a stain? No. Then why do that to your clothes?

By now many of us are aware that the fashion and textile industry is one of the biggest sinners of climate change with 87% of every textile in the world ending up as landfill. The Europeans consume almost 26 kilos and discard around 11 kilos textiles every year. We believe that repairing instead of replacing is a way for the consumer to take action and contribute to closing the loop - starting with the clothes you already own. To consume less we need to care more for what already is: And to repair is to care, so show your old clothes some love! It - and the planet - deserves it.

In this workshop we encourage you to weave an artwork and chill-out-nest with discarded clothes together with your fellow festival attendants. And hopefully you will later use our weaving technique as a fun, easy and cool way to patch up your holed, stained and otherwise damaged or old clothes.
