My design

Nightstand is a small bedside table designed to help us make a more preventive choice towards a better night’s sleep. The table focuses on creating tranquility around our sleeping environment and offers discrete and simple techniques that help us not to get disturbed from flashing lights, alarming sounds and an unfocused mind in the middle of night.

The table offers three relevant features neatly incorporated in the tabletop for easy access. Wireless charging, do not disturb mode and indirect lighting for a trouble free night’s sleep.

My inspiration

My inspiration to design a bedside table came as I was looking into the meaning of being online vs offline. A sudden self-awareness arose and I realized how and how much I actually use my phone both in a positive and negative way. At times, when I wanted to go offline it felt like a real sacrifice and I became interested in why and how a design could chance it.

I have always been fascinated by the details in design. I know by now that can be difficult to get it right, but that is exactly what drives me - that I actually can do something about it and evolve my own style of expression.
