How do you take a problem and develop an effective solution for it? There is a certain creative process, of first deconstructing the problem, identifying main elements, brainstorming possible solutions and then actually implementing the solutions. This methodology is the foundation of software engineering, as well as many other academic fields. In my topic, I wish to lay the foundations for creative thinking, as it plays a huge role when studying to become a software engineer. Students will be invited to creatively design a website or a mobile app, and through this they will find out, first-hand, how creative insight and a little teamwork can show amazing results. This experience will reveal an amazing aspect of engineering, that gives the students a great taste of software design.
