My design
BLACKBIRD CN-17 is an abstract mobile designed to absorb unhealthy particles from your home. By exploiting the abilities of active coal (Active Carbon fabric), the BLACKBIRD CN-17 cleans the air surrounding it.
Creating active design for a better health. By using active coal in furniture design, it has the potential to be implemented in hospitals, offices and design projects. The BLACKBIRD CN-17 has its shape from the idea of movements and has the ability to create its own airflow.
My inspiration
My inspiration is always linked to the idea of exploiting the abilities of materials to its full potential and in new innovative ways combined with knowledge about constructions, stability, and technology and finding new ways to develop the Danish design future.
I choose Furniture Design because I was attracted to design thinking - the process from first idea to the final product. I wish to challenge the traditions, be revolutionary and dare to think new and in this way lift the Danish design heritage to a new level. Mette Jochimsen
