VIA students at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2023

The 2023 VIA Design and Business exhibition, Perspective, proudly presents 13 new furniture projects designed by talented students and recently graduated designers. The Perspective exhibition focus on empathy, functionality and responsibility. Quality goes with out saying. VIA Design and Business is one of the largest design and business schools in Scandinavia.

Anker is a fire pit designed for sustainable cities and communities. It is meant to improve small towns by creating a gathering point in public areas. The sculptural and playful design targets
children, young people, and families but invites everyone to join the atmosphere created around a fire pit.

The Canvas Taburet has a traditional approach to woodworking, resulting in an honest and visible construction. The stool lends itself well to Scandinavian and Japanese design and can be
disassembled easily. This allows for flat packing as well as repairs that add to the stool’s longevity. Made to last.

Di Calma means “tranquility” in Italian and that’s the feeling this responsible floor lamp should appeal to. This lamp was created with the aim of creating a commercial floor lamp with a positive
impact on mental well-being. The design and materials of this lamp are inspired by pure nature.

The modular sofa, GRO, is a mix of modern and classic furniture. In its aesthetics, you can see the Scandinavian style. GRO is designed as a complete knock-down solution. Furthermore, it is created to be sustainable, which has been the mission from the start.

Inga was created with a focus on designing an assistive aid, which aims to incorporate the preferences of the elderly, both in terms of comfort and aesthetics. With its wheels and built-in locking system, Inga helps to safely sit down at the table and get up again.

Jami is a shelf designed in accordance with Scandinavian and Japanese design traditions with its minimalistic look and color palette. At its core, JAMI combines longevity and honest design; a design that allows its user to replace elements which further lengthen JAMI’s lifespan.

Kakudo Bench is inspired by the austere beauty and sense of simplicity and harmony that represents Japanese aesthetics. The bench is designed as a knock down product in responsible materials for a more sustainable transport.

Kami is a nature inspired table lamp designed for interaction. The interaction begins when you get the lamp because it’s made for self-assembly. Furthermore, it’s possible to control
and change the light by physical interaction. You just pull the paper strips from side to side.

Kiku is a decorative table lamp, designed to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere in a room with the help of light. A design with focus on clean lines and balance. Kiku is designed with inspiration from Japanese cultural elements. Kiku is made in stainless steel and off-white Linvarp yarn.

Lean is an urban space furniture that provides rest and tranquility and makes it possible to opt in or out of a meeting. The screen can be rotated so that you can talk to the person next
to you. Lean can be placed at train stations and in urban areas where it creates space for short stays where you can just be yourself.

Entrance bench

A piece of furniture for the modern family. A bench that addresses both practical and functional needs and makes an aesthetic statement in the home. There is space for jackets, storage space on the bench and in the woven nests. A place where adults and children can tie their shoelaces comfortably.

Split - a room divider that divides the room without separating it. This modern bookcase was designed for creating spaces inside, while providing beautiful storage for those carefully curated items. Flat-packable, made for disassembly and striving to be part of a sustainable future.

Trin Top is a little kitchen helper designed to bring the family together and focus on children’s well-being in our busy everyday life. A piece of furniture that brings together the family in their joy of cooking and lets the child be at eye level with the parents so that it can feel like a valuable and equal member of the family.
