My collection
My A/W 2018 Dustheads Collection is inspired by the gender-neutral movement and supports acceptance and equality in society. The visual inspiration for the design developed from the artwork and values of artist Jean Michel Basquiat, who used deconstruction and irony as a tool to display the human body. With oversize silhouettes, the collection removes focus from the body and instead concentrates on the casual designs and street looks. The collection is for those with a keen eye for the details and love for colours.
My inspiration
Pop culture always had a big influence on my work, and I have a playful way of combining various methods in my design process. Characteristic for my work is the mix of colours, prints, materials and boxy silhouettes. I always keep the fun in mind in my designs, and pay attention to every single detail.
My approach to design in three words
Playful. Androgynous. Personal.
